Welbury 40th Village Show Saturday 17th August in Welbury Village Hall
After a break of 5 years the village show is returning but it will only be a success if there are entrants.
A copy of the show schedule was enclosed in every August edition of the Welbury & Rounton Gazette but just in case it has been mislaid there’s a show schedule attached to the email.
The recipe for class 53 is in the Welbury Diamond Jubilee Cookbook but is written out below for ease.
Please can entries be in by Thursday evening to allow the new committee time to get things in order for the show on Saturday. As well as dropping entries in with Joanne at Tile Shed Farm then can also be placed in the village hall post box or handed in to Joanne at the Cactus Society event on Wednesday 14th August in the village hall between 7pm & 8pm.
If you aren’t here on the day but would like to submit non-perishable entries this can be arranged.

All entries need to be brought to the village hall Saturday 17th between 8.30am and 9.45am and displayed ready for judging. The hall will close promptly at 10am for judging and reopen at 2pm for viewing the results, presenting the trophies and raffle (raffle prizes would be greatly appreciated, either on the day or brought along to the village hall Wednesday 14th at the Cactus evening or during the day Friday 16th when the hall will be open to set up ready for the show, or on the day).

Admission to the show at 2pm is £2.50 for adults (includes refreshments & a home-made scone) and children are free.

Thanks in advance to everyone who is helping, the judges and the participants. Here’s hoping it is well supported and once again become an annual event.
