Deighton Lane Road Closure: 1st–9th September 2025

Circulars @ Appleton Wiske have sent the following notification:

North Yorkshire Council Highways will close Deighton Lane between Deighton and Brompton to construct a chamber at the end of the current ditch.

The work will be at the section of the road between The Oaks and Brompton Farm. This stretch of road is where there have previously been deep floods which have prevented cars from passing along this stretch of road.

The online notice specifies closure between the 1st and 9th September. The letter sent to Deighton residents specifies the closure between the 3rd and 9th September.
