On January 10th and 11th, Magnus and I will be taking part in the Strathpuffer for the second time. We have persuaded two friends, Will and Matty, to make up our team of four. We are hoping they are still our friends by January 12th as the Strathpuffer is a legendary 24 hour mountain bike race in the Scottish Highlands consisting of gruelling terrain and 17 hours of darkness. As for the weather, well… What can I say? January, The Highlands,…… Last year we cycled in minus 14 degrees, snow and ice!
We have decided to fundraise this year. Our chosen charity is the teenage cancer trust in memory of former Northallerton school pupil Grace Sanderson. If anyone would like to help us achieve our target of raising £1000 towards this amazing charity we would be tremendously grateful. There is a justgiving page for donations. Google justgiving, Dougal Gaudie, strathpuffer and it should be there. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
